Tortilla Pinwheels with Roasted Pepper, Almond & Golden Raisins

These savory and slightly sweet tortilla pinwheels are bursting with flavor and perfect for any gathering. Creamy, tangy, and rich, the filling combines velvety cream cheese with Nuovo’s vibrant Roasted Pepper, Almond & Golden Raisin Spread. Diced Genoa salami adds a hint of spice, while mozzarella and fresh basil bring in melty, herbaceous goodness. Rolled in soft flour tortillas, then chilled and sliced into bite-sized spirals, these pinwheels make a deliciously colorful addition to any appetizer platter or charcuterie board.

Ingredients

  • 2 ea. 6” flour tortillas
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 Jar (7 oz) Nuovo’s Roasted Pepper, Almond & Golden Raisin Spread
  • 4-oz Pack sliced naturally cured Genoa salami, diced
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or provolone
  • A few basil leaves, washed and chopped

Directions

  • Soften the cream cheese by bringing it to room temperature. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, Nuovo’s Roasted Pepper, Almond & Golden Raisin Spread, chopped basil, diced salami, and shredded mozzarella together. Refrigerate until chilled.
  • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture onto each tortilla in an even layer
  • Evenly top each tortilla with diced turkey
  • Roll each tortilla tight like a cigar, making sure that the cream cheese mix binds the tortilla together
  • Refrigerate until chilled for about one hour
  • Cut each rolled tortilla into even ½” pinwheels and serve as appetizer or as part of charcuterie board
