Italian Cheese Ravioli Alla Sorrentina

Dinner doesn’t get much better (or easier) than this: Nuovo’s 18 oz. Family Size Italian Cheese Ravioli covered in an Italian Sorrentina sauce. Each bite is a delicious, rich, and authentic adventure into Italian cuisine.


1 Pack (18 oz.) Family Size Nuovo Pasta Italian Cheese Ravioli
4 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
2 Fresh garlic clove, chopped
2 14 oz Can of San Marzano tomatoes (peeled in juice or crushed)
Salt and pepper to taste
8 oz. Fresh mozzarella, cut in ½” pieces
A Few fresh basil leaves and basil sprigs for garnish.
4 Tbsp Parmigiano Reggiano, grated


  1. Heat oil in a large non-reactive pan on medium heat; add garlic and cook for a minute over medium heat, being careful not to brown it. Add the can of San Marzano tomatoes. Stir and cook for 10 minutes on low heat, keeping a steady simmer. Stir often with a wooden spoon, breaking up tomatoes as you mix. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 
  2. Add basil leaves and fresh mozzarella to the tomato sauce, stirring gently on low heat until the mozzarella starts to melt. Keep it warm. 
  3. Cook ravioli separately in salted boiling water according to package directions.  
  4. Drain ravioli and place on a serving platter. Spoon sauce on top, sprinkle with Parmigiano Reggiano and garnish with basil sprigs as a finishing touch. Enjoy!
