Parmigiano & Prosciutto Sacchetti with Brown Butter, Balsamic Glaze & Parmigiano

Our Parmigiano and Prosciutto sacchetti are so flavorful and complete that they only need a simple brown butter sauce and a few drops of balsamic glaze to crown their perfection. Enjoy them as you would in a traditional trattoria in Emilia Romagna.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pack (9 oz.) Nuovo Pasta Parmigiano and Prosciutto Sacchetti
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Parmigiano Reggiano, grated.
  • A few drops of traditional balsamic glaze.

Directions

  1. If you can’t find ready-made balsamic glaze, buy some quality balsamic vinegar and slow simmer it in a small saucepan until reduced by half in volume.
  2. The result will be a thick, slightly sweet, and aromatic glaze.
  3. Cook sacchetti separately in lightly salted boiling water according to package directions. While sacchetti are cooking, place butter in a small skillet over medium-low heat and cook until butter starts to foam.
  4. Drain sacchetti and place on a serving platter. Spoon brown butter sauce on top and sprinkle with Parmigiano Reggiano and a few drops of balsamic glaze as a finishing touch. Enjoy!
