Linguine with Basil Pesto Genovese

Pesto and Linguine are a match made in heaven! Thanks to the sweet aroma and rich taste of our Original Pesto Basil Genovese, you can bring the flavors of Genova right to your home. This combination is sure to make your taste buds dance with joy!


1 Pack (9 oz.) Nuovo Pasta Long Cut Linguine
1 Medium Yukon gold potato, washed, peeled and diced into 1” cubes
5 oz. Fresh green beans, washed, trimmed and sliced into 2” segments
1⁄2 Cup Nuovo Classic Basil Pesto Genovese
2 Tbsp Pinoli nuts, toasted (optional)


  1. Set a large pot with one gallon of water to boil. Once the water is boiling, add a pinch of salt and the diced potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the green beans and cook for 5 more minutes. Add linguine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. While linguine are cooking, reserve 1⁄4 cup of pasta water for later use. Drain pasta and vegetables and place them in a serving bowl.
  4. Spoon basil pesto on top and mix gently, adding the reserved pasta water 1 Tbsp at a time— just enough to obtain a creamy consistency. Top with toasted pinoli nuts if desired. Enjoy!
