Ingredients

  • 16oz  Nuovo Trees and Bells Ravioli
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted butter.
  • 2 Small shallots (or one small red onion), chopped fine.
  • 2 Cups Heavy cream .
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • ¼ Cup Tricolor carrot confetti.
  • 4 Tbsp Parmigiano Reggiano, grated.1 Tbsp Fresh chives, sliced.

Directions

  1. Clean carrots and thinly slice into matchsticks; turn matchsticks and slice again to resemble confetti.
  2. Place butter and chopped shallots in a small saucepan and cook over medium-low heat until shallots are golden.
  3. Add cream, bring to a simmer, and cook for a few minutes on low heat, stirring gently until slightly thickened.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook ravioli separately in salted boiling water according to package directions. Place most of the cream sauce on a large serving platter, drain ravioli, and place them on cream sauce with trees and bells facing up. Drizzle a few drops of the remaining cream sauce on ravioli. Sprinkle carrot or pepper confetti and chives on and around trees and bells. Sprinkle Parmigiano on ravioli to resemble snowflakes. Happy holidays!
