Nuovo Shamrock Ravioli With Bacon and Green Peas

St. Patrick’s Day is on the horizon–so don’t be caught in a pinch! Grab a container of Nuovo Pasta Shamrock Shaped Traditional 5 Cheese Ravioli and pair them with rich Irish Cheddar, sweet peas, and smoky, savory bacon for a recipe that is pure gold!

Ingredients

  • (9 oz.) Nuovo Pasta Traditional 5 Cheese Ravioli
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 Cup Heavy cream
  • ½ Cup Irish cheddar, shaved
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 oz Applewood smoked bacon slices
  • 1 Cup Green peas, fresh or frozen, (not canned)

Directions

  1. Place butter in a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat until melted. Add cream and bring to a simmer; do not let boil. Add cheddar and cook for a few more minutes on low heat,
    stirring thoroughly until the cheese is melted. Season with salt and pepper; keep warm.
  2. Cut bacon slices crosswise in thin strips. Place cut bacon in a medium-size sauté pan and cook over medium-low heat until crispy and golden. Add peas and cook for an additional minute, keeping them emerald green in color. Keep warm.
  3. Cook ravioli separately in salted boiling water according to package directions. Pour half of the cheddar sauce onto a serving platter, drain the ravioli, and arrange on top. Spoon the rest of the sauce over the ravioli and scatter bacon and peas on top.
